Das Dubstepforum der Schweiz feiert sein zweijähriges Bestehen am 18. Januar nächsten Jahres im Salzhaus Winterthur. Um diesen Anlass gebührend zu feiern besuchen uns von der Insel Kromestar, Dark Tantrums (als Mc) & Biome.

Alle drei bunte Hunde der Szene und keine unbekannten Gesichter für Kenner wie Laien des Dubstep. Wir dürfen gespannt sein! Das ganze wird abgerundet mit lokalem Support von Koolat, Lowfat & dem Tengu Collective. Big things a gwan!

For the third time this year, the one known as Burial has announced the impending release of his next record only a couple of weeks before it’s actually available.

Hyperdub is once again behind the dubstep mystic’s latest offering, a 12″ which comprises two tracks collectively clocking in at 25 minutes. We currently don’t have even so much as the track titles, let alone previews of the music, but you can pre-order Burial’s new record over on Boomkat before it drops on December 17, here.

Clearing space on the ‚floor between dancehall, funky and grime, ‚Backchat‘ duly performs one of the duttiest winds we’ve heard in ages: ricochet rimshots, belly-pump subs and robo-ragga vox lock down the riddim while plaggy grime strings laminate the dance something buff. Shot in a couple of screeching old skool spinbacks and you’re in genuinely dangerous territory.
